INTEGRATED FORMS IN EMAIL

Email personalization is no longer an option; it is now crucial. And for that, you need subscriber data. To collect data from your subscribers, you have two options:

1. Redirect them to a dedicated landing page to fill up data

2. Collect it directly from the email itself through an integrated HTML form inside email

Now, if you choose to redirect your subscribers to a landing page to fill out a form, you are only increasing the number of steps involved to collect the data you need; this can affect, or worse, hamper the conversion rate you are expecting.

The second option is to collect information from the subscriber through emailable forms. By reducing the efforts a subscriber needs to put into filling up a form, you actually make things easy for the subscriber and yourself. Emailable forms boost the form filling possibility manifold.

Elements supported currently for Emailable forms:

  • Text box
  • Paragraph
  • Checkboxes
  • Radio Buttons

COMPATIBILITY OF FORMS IN EMAIL

While forms solve a great purpose, it is essential to know which email clients will actually support your form embedded in email and which will not.

Email clients like Apple Mail, Gmail Desktop, Yahoo Desktop, AOL, Outlook on Mac will display a functional form.

Email clients like Lotus Notes, Outlook 2007, 2010, 2013, Outlook.com, Mobile third-party applications like Gmail app, Yahoo app, etc. will have proper fallback support fulfilling your request to get details.

Thunderbird will display the email form, but it will not function. Apple has limited support for text area, so Apple users might not be able to fill the text box. Also, there is a possibility that the user isn't able to input 'space' between words. The temporary workaround for this is to press 'alt+space' to input space.
